How to Find Trending Audio for Instagram Reels
May 15, 2024In the fast-paced world of real estate, staying ahead of the curve is crucial. With the rise of social media, Instagram Reels has emerged as a powerful tool for creating brand awareness and engaging with potential clients. One of the key elements to mastering Reels is using trending audio. But what exactly is trending audio, and how can you leverage it for your real estate brand? Let’s dive in.
What is Trending Audio?
Trending audio refers to music or sound clips that are currently popular and widely used by creators on platforms like Instagram and TikTok. They’ve seen an increase in usage over the last couple days. These audio clips can range from catchy songs to snippets of dialogue or sound effects. When you use trending audio in your Reels, you increase the chances of your content being discovered by a broader audience, as the algorithm often favors content that utilizes popular sounds.
Benefits of Using Trending Audio
Increased Visibility: Content with trending audio is more likely to appear on the Explore page and in users’ feeds, boosting your chances of reaching potential clients.
Enhanced Engagement: Trending audio often resonates with viewers, leading to higher engagement rates through likes, comments, and shares.
Staying Current: Using popular audio shows that your brand is up-to-date with current trends, making you more relatable to your audience.
How to Find Trending Audio
Here are three easy ways to discover trending audio for your Reels:
1. Explore Page 🔍
From the Explore page, check out some of the Reels and listen to their music. If the audio has an arrow pointing up and to the right (↗️), it means the audio is trending. You can do the same from your Reels feed by clicking on any audio you like. From here, click on the arrow to view today’s top 50 trending audios.
2. Reels in Progress
When adding music to a draft reel, click on the 🎵 button on the top menu bar. Here, you can explore music that fits a certain mood, genre, or timeframe by searching in the top search bar. Look for trending audio with less than 10K Reels for optimal reach and visibility. Don’t worry if it has more than 10K Reels if it aligns perfectly with your post’s goal.
3. Professional Dashboard
You can explore your saved audio from the drafts screen by clicking the Saved icon. If you’ve been saving audio as you browse the feeds for inspiration, this is where you can access it again. If you have a Creator account, you can access the top trending audio from your profile page through the professional dashboard. Scroll down to Tips & Resources and select Trending Audio to find the current top 50 trending audios.
Not All Trending Audio is Created Equal
Don’t simply grab the first audio with an arrow. Check them out first. One thing to look at is how many views the original post has. If it has over 1M views, you know it’s hot. You’ll find this on the audio page where you can see all the various takes on the audio.
Next, I like finding audios with a 2-3 second beat drop. This allows you to showcase a hook and then drop the value on the screen in a quick clip. But this is just a preference. Depending on the goal you have with your reel, something else could work equally well.
Choose audio with less than 10K uses. You want to be ahead of the curve as it pertains to the rise and fall of its popularity. Think about a song that gets used over and over again. You tend to get tired of it pretty quickly. Trending audio is the same.
Final Thoughts
The story’s moral is simple: look for the arrow pointing up and to the right (↗️). But don’t stress over it too much. Remember, it’s your Reel, and there isn’t a perfect formula for everyone. The important thing is to have fun and be yourself. Listen to a variety of audios and choose what aligns with your brand and message.
So, get creative, explore trending audio, and most importantly, have fun!
By embracing the vibrant and ever-evolving world of Instagram Reels, you’re not just keeping up with trends – you’re setting them. Happy creating! 🎥✨
