Is Your Real Estate Business Immune to Coronavirus?

Is Your Real Estate Business Immune to Coronavirus?

March 16, 2020

A Guide to Seeing Eye-to-Eye without Meeting Face-to-Face

Your business relies on personal interactions. Your business is built on interpersonal connections. We can continue to propel our businesses forward while the world is on pause and we are waiting for the memo that we are “free to move about the cabin”.

Is it possible that COVID-19 could shut your business down right in the middle of a hot Real Estate Market?

No, it doesn’t have to – you are a people-based business and you can immobilize quickly. With a little help from technology and an open mind to what is possible, you can keep your business on track while others sit and wait for the movie to play out. The industry has been preparing for this day and this is the perfect time to test drive the advances available to you. Here is one of the communication tools that I have been using, and I think you will love it.

ZOOM.US – Solve the need for in-person contact and replace it with eye-to-eye communication over video conference calls. Have you ever misunderstood the intentions of an email, text or phone call? It is easy to have misunderstandings when you can’t see the other people and they can’t see you!

So much of what we say isn’t verbal, it is said through gestures, facial expressions, eye contact (or lack thereof), body language and posture. Zoom replicates in-person meetings, helps you truly see what they are saying, and ultimately improves your communication. Zoom’s screen sharing option mirrors gathering around a table with your clients in a very human, connected way.

7 ways ZOOM helps you see Eye-to-Eye with your clients without meeting Face-to-Face:

1. Review contracts with all parties
2. Tour homes together & identify their must-haves
3. Review and resolve inspection responses
4. Conduct listing presentations
5. Facilitate relocation interviews
6. Hold Home Buyer onboarding meetings
7. Bring vendors in to answer client questions

Ready to immunize your business against the Coronavirus? Sign up for a free account at Zoom and give it a try. You will receive your unique meeting ID and link for unlimited meetings. When you schedule your next meeting, share your unique Zoom Link as your meeting location. Clients will appreciate that you are honoring them with social distancing while still conducting business. Your clients can count on you in this time of uncertainty as a forward-thinking business owner.  Clients can join the call from a smartphone, tablet or computer, and before you know it you will be seeing eye-to-eye on all things Real Estate.

I’ve included a quick Zoom.us Guide Updated to help you set up an account with additional instructions for inviting clients to your meetings

Bonus:  Want to have a custom background on your Zoom calls?  Here’s a video tutorial from Canva to make your own virtual backdrops!

Give it a try, you are free to move about the cabin!

PS. If you know a teacher, please pass this article on, Zoom is offering free accounts for teachers.
