Use Adobe Spark to showcase your listings
May 31, 2016Adobe Spark for Real Estate
While Adobe Spark wasn’t necessarily made for use in real estate, the use case is pretty easy to see, and I’m starting to watch more and more examples flow through my Facebook and Instagram feeds from Realtors all over the country who are recognizing the flexibility this new suite of tools has to offer in marketing their listings in a more visually appealing manner.
If you haven’t heard of the Adobe Spark suite of tools, here’s a quick overview of each:
Spark Post – instantly create stunning social graphics by picking a photo, adding a text overlay and a design filter.
Spark Page – easily turn your images into a beautiful parallax style website that looks great on any device.
Spark Video – create a compelling animated video (more of a slideshow) complete with your voice or music overlays, and cinematic transitions or effects.
Now, I’ve seen dozens of similar platforms come and go over the years (previous favorites include Over, Animoto, Ripl, etc) … but none as polished and easy to use as the new offerings from Adobe. Plus, they’re free for now, so take advantage of that while you can.
Pros: free, easy to use, cross platform compatibility (PC, Mac, iOS)
Cons: adobe branding (can be removed via sharing – and pay to remove feature coming soon)
Want to see some examples?
Here’s an example of a basic text overlay onto an image from a local Portland area Realtor:
Notice the branding in the bottom right? This can easily be removed once the photo is shared on social media. These are perfect for marketing your listing via Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.
Here’s a pretty awesome example of Spark Page in action, thanks to the Anderson Real Estate Group of Long Beach California. This simple one page site contains information about their community, local businesses, and their featured listings. Not bad for a free app, right? Note: I’ve been told that Adobe is working on an option to remove the branding from these sites, which will most likely be a paid feature.
And finally, here’s a quick little animated tour video I created using the Spark Video app to show off features of the fake mansion for sale, complete with my semi creepy real estate announcer guy voice. This took me about 10 minutes to learn the app and create this masterpiece.
So, hopefully with these examples you can see how this suite of tools can help you market your listings in a more visual manner. Feel free to find me on Facebook or the Gram to show me your creations. Or, if you’re a voice talent scout looking for someone with creepy real estate announcer guy skills, you know where to find me. 🙂
